our faith formation program receives its structure from
what we hear and what we do at Sunday Mass, the children
must attend Mass each week. Our 9 a.m. Mass is geared
toward families; however, your family may attend the
4 p.m. Mass on Saturdays or the 7:30 a.m. Mass on Sundays.

CHILDREN’S
LITURGY
OF THE WORD
Celebrated
on most Sundays at the 9:00 a.m. Mass, the Liturgy of
the Word for Children aims to simplify for children
ages 6 -10 years old the celebration of God’s
Word in anticipation of the day they will fully join
the adult assembly.
In
the Children’s Liturgy of the Word, the children
arrive with their parents and join the assembly for
the Introductory Rites. After the Opening Prayer, the
priest invites the children forward to attend their
own special Liturgy of the Word in the Community Room.
The children hear the Word proclaimed and broke open
in a way that is relevant to them. They rejoin the assembly
at the Preparation of the Gifts.
There
is no fee for registration for Children’s Liturgy
of the Word. Children receive a handout for parents
to use at home.
Volunteers
plan and preside at the Children’s Liturgy of
the Word. There is a need for more people to share their
gifts in this ministry.
